Important Appointment Information:

To secure your appointment with Lotus Wellness and Medspa, we request all patients to provide credit card details. Rest assured, your card won't be charged upon booking but will only be processed in case of a no-show or last-minute cancellation. Your credit card information is securely stored and complies with all necessary security standards. Our team at Lotus Wellness and Medspa does not have access to your complete credit card information and can only charge your card for Lotus-related charges. Please review our detailed policies.

Please complete all intake forms prior to your appointment as this will help provide you with the longest appointment time possible and we can focus our attention completely and fully on your consultation and treatment. We allocate specific time for numbing during certain fillers and injections.

We regret that we are unable to combine two in-house promotions at the same time.

For appointments related to facial peels, Neurotoxin injections, and Dermal Filler, kindly arrive without makeup. You're welcome to use our facial washing station at the MedSpa. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early for this purpose.

Certain facial treatments may not be suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. For guidance on suitable treatments during pregnancy, we recommend booking a consultation with us for the best course of action.

Important Points before Injections:

  • Before undergoing a dermal filler, Fat dissolve, and/or PDO thread procedure, please ensure the following:

    • Allow at least 4 weeks before and/or after any dental procedures or cleanings.

    • Wait at least 4 weeks after antibiotics/cold/flu symptoms.

    • Allow at least 4 weeks before and/or after vaccinations (including Flu or Covid vaccines).

    • Wait at least 2 weeks before big events or travel.

    • Wait at least 2 weeks after a cold sore eruption and ensure the cold sore is fully healed before undergoing lip filler injections. Contact the office in advance to arrange for an anti-viral prescription.

    • Ensure there are no active skin infections in the area planned for treatment.

    • Confirm there are no new medications or changes in your medical history that would affect our treatment plan. In case of doubt, contact your Lotus wellness MedSpa provider or the front desk staff for additional support.

  • We do not administer injectable treatments to patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Preparing for Your Injectable Treatment:

Please be aware that there is a possibility of bruising and/or swelling with any injectable. If you're concerned about this, we recommend scheduling injections at least two weeks before any important events.

Pre-Treatment:

  • Refrain from using any blood thinning agents, including but not limited to: aspirin, NSAIDS (such as ibuprofen, aleve, motrin, etc), St. John’s Wort, Vitamin E, Multivitamins, Krill Oil, Fish Oils, Flaxseed Oils, Omega-3, Gingko, Ginseng, Garlic and Glucosamine, for 3-5 days prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid alcohol consumption 2-3 days before your appointment.

  • Begin taking Arnica tablets (an herb that can slow blood clotting time) 3-5 days before your appointment. You can purchase these tablets at our office. Take 5 tabs three times per day for optimal effectiveness.

  • Arnica tablets are available on Amazon, at most drug stores.

  • Consume foods containing bromelain (a protein-digesting enzyme that slows blood clotting time), like pineapple, 2-5 days before your appointment.

Post-Treatment:

  • Apply Arnica gel to the treated areas for 3-5 days after your appointment.

  • Use cold packs for twenty minutes on and off throughout the day of treatment to help with swelling.

  • Avoid using any of the medications or supplements listed above for a few days after the procedure.

  • Refrain from applying heavy pressure on the treated area for the first 24 hours, such as sleeping directly on the area or massage.

  • Wait 24-48 hours before applying any makeup post-procedure to reduce the risk of infection.
